Service provider does not guarantee faultlessness, correctness, or reliability of the data of functionalities of the service. Continuous accessibility or uninterrupted operation is not guaranteed either. Service provider has the right to change the service or disable the service or parts of it without further notice. Service provider is not responsible for damage caused by using the data or caused by the service directly or indirectly.
These terms of use are effective for the time being. Service provider has the right to change the terms of use.
Terms and conditions of the City of Turku feedback system API interface:
Description of the service
The feedback system and the related API interface will be provided by the City of Turku. The feedback system enables external applications to give feedback to the City of Turku as well as to seek public feedback filed in the feedback system. The city determines what sort of feedback it is prepared to accept.
Terms and conditions of the City of Turku feedback interface
Access rights to the test interface and the API key can be gained by approving these terms and conditions. The request for user access rights and the receipt of approving conditions will be sent by email to the address avoindata@turku.fi The rights for using the production interface will be gained when the application has been tested and the functionality of the application has been approved in the test interface.
The use of the interface is monitored. If an application burdens too much, the rights of use are withdrawn. The unintentional or intentional publication of the API key or its dissemination to third parties is regarded as a breach of contract. Only feedback on topics that the City has specified may be sent through the interface. An external application cannot edit the feedback directed to the City in a way that its meaning changes.
The user of the feedback interface cedes unlimited ownership and right to use data that is sent to the interface. The ownership and user access rights are granted when the interface receives data sent by the user. Before sending data to the feedback interface, the user must confirm that they have the abovementioned rights. Data considered public will be visible for instance in the feedback service, Turku region guide map service, RSS feed and open feedback interface with CC by 4.0 licence.
Limitation of liability
The open feedback service is at the disposal of the API key holders in the condition it is, and the City of Turku will not provide any guarantee of performance. Under no circumstances is the City of Turku responsible for any damage or inconvenience caused by the interface or resulting from the use thereof.
Other conditions
The law applicable to these terms of use and the use of the service is Finnish law. Any dispute arising from this present context will be settled in the District Court of Varsinais-Suomi.
The requirements set by the terms of use for applications and services exploiting the interface
The application/service must notify the following conditions to the person who has given the feedback (content in brackets):
“The feedback you give may be published on the City of Turku Internet pages and/or in some other media. Do not divulge any information under the privacy protection, such as a person’s name, social security number etc. Your feedback may be left unpublished or it may be edited prior to publishing.
Should your feedback contain a photo or a video, it must be taken by yourself. If identifiable persons appear on your photo/video, you need to have their permission to publish the material. By attaching a photo/video to you feedback you affirm that you have the abovementioned permission to publish the material.
By attaching a photo, video or other copyright protected material to your feedback, you assign your copyright and other rights to the content to the City of Turku.”
Amending the terms of use
The City reserves itself the right to make amendments in the terms of use. When possible, the API key holders will be notified of possible amendments in advance. The amendments are notified to the email address given in connection with requesting for the API key.
