Accessibility statement
Welcome, this is the accessibility statement of the City of Turku
This accessibility statement concerns the Trimble Feedback service and was created on 30 October 2020. The service is subject to the Act on the Provision of Digital Services, which requires public web services to be accessible. The service’s accessibility has been evaluated by an external expert organisation.
Accessibility status of the digital service
The service meets accessibility requirements partially.
Non-accessible content of the digital service
The website does not yet fully meet the requirements. The following elements of the service can be improved in terms of accessibility. The brackets contain a reference to the accessibility requirement (WCAG). Some of the service’s visual elements are not sufficiently scaled when only the text is increased by 200 per cent (1.4.4), not all heading structures are clear (1.3.1), the tab element has been implemented in the form of links, which means that its role is not conveyed to the screen reader correctly (4.1.2).

We are committed to improving the accessibility of digital services
The accessibility competence of the City of Turku is developed systematically and resolutely. The current web services will be evaluated by the City’s accessibility contractors. Based on the evaluation, the accessibility of services will be developed to meet the requirements of the law by the deadline set out for each service. In the development and procurement of new web services, accessibility is considered from the beginning. Accessibility training is arranged for all parties participating in the development of web services and in the production of their content. The City has an ongoing project called Fulfilment of the Requirements of the Accessibility Act.
We provide support to users for whom digital services are inaccessible
